Reyn Callao live @ All Out Ilonggos

Reyn Callao proved his musical gifts stronger than ever at All Out Ilonggos live at Iloilo Capitol Grounds in the evening of January 22, 2011 in time for Iloilo Kasadyahan Festival, a night before the Dinagyang finale. He performed his Ilonggo hit singles “Bahala Ka Na” and “E-shembot” with Eazzy of SYK Unit. The song will be included in the upcoming release of his first EP Album next month. Reyn also performed their Ilonggo 3nity group single “Badtrip” with fellow Ilonggo pop artists Sheila Barrios and Cherry Callao. Their song was first played in Radio For U 98.5 FM in Rackhampton City, Queensland in Australia last year. The event also featured other popular Ilonggo rap groups such as SYK Unit, All Out Kingz, Mix Ilonggo Crew with new RSLPhoenix solo female artist-Irish D. The event is presented by RSLPhoenix Music, itravel Philippines magazine and the Office of Culture, Arts, History and Tourism under its director, Bombette Marin.

Mike Kosa and Ilonggo Music Artists live at Hip Hop Blazt 2011

Hiphop Blazt 2011 is in Iloilo this January 30, 2011, Sunday, 6 p.m. at Jaro Covered Gym. The event will be featuring one of the Philippine’s biggest hip hop celebrity “Mike Kosa” of 187 Mobstaz . Mike Kosa is today’s sought-after hip hop artist along with his group 187 Mobstaz with their popular rap songs that touched the sentiments of hip hop music fans all over the country. In fact, most of their rap songs and music videos in youtube or online are gaining massive following from music fans. This time, he is coming to Iloilo to share his music with the Ilonggos and spread the influence of hip hop culture. There will also be special performances from local hip hop rap groups such as Southsyd Souljaz Best Hip hop Group winner at 2010 Ilonggo Music Awards (IMA); SYK Unit 2010 IMA Best Hip Hop Group Nominee; Paramour Sifee and All Out Kingz. Also performing at the event are Ilonggo 3nity composed of Reyn Callao, 2010 IMA Best Male Artist Nominee; Sheila Barrios, 2010 IMA Best Female Artist Nominee, and Cherry Callao; R-nic, 2010 IMA Best Male Artist winner; Zpinx Angel of Mix Ilonggo Crew and a lot more. Organized by Southsyd Souljaz Production, P. Sifee Production, RSLPhoenix Music together with Jaro Agro-Industrial and Charity Fair and Association of Brgy. Captains- Jaro Chapter, the event directly supports Hip hop culture among the Ilonggos. To combine the elements of a true Hip hop event, there will be competition for Freestyle Rap (flip top), 2-on-2 B-boying (breakdance) and Graffiti contest. Winners will receive cash prizes, certificates and a recording deal with Southsyd Souldjaz Studio for Freestyle Rap. It will gather the best and promising hip hop culture enthusiasts among young Ilonggos and directly supports the annual Jaro Fiesta as a way to unite the people in Iloilo. Hiphop Blazt 2011 in Iloilo is just the beginning and will continue to have region-wide counterparts this year. Entrance fee is only Php 20 for a whole evening of unforgettable non-stop hip hop entertainment and activities. Registration Fee for Freestyle Rap is Php 200 while for B-boying and Graffiti contest is only Php 100.

RSLPhoenix music teaser featuring Sheila, Reyn and newcomer, Irish D


Sheila is going back with a new track "Padayun" that feature Zpinx Angel in the rap vocals of the song. Zpinx Angel is a member of Mix Ilonggo Crew from Manila and has been interested to collaborate with Sheila last year. The track will be part of Sheila's upcoming solo album. The song have a strong and inspiring message about being a Filipino and devotion to God. It is a life-changing song for sure. Also featured in the teaser is Reyn Callao's newest raggae-inspired song that features the rap vocals of SYK Unit's Eazzy. Finally, RSLPhoenix introduces its newest Ilonggo popstar--Irish D and her upcoming solo single "Ikaw." Written by RSLPhoenix and Irish, the song will surely be another Ilonggo pop hit with its attractive beat and sweet lyrics.

Reyn @ Battle Mania Philippines set for Dinagyang 2011

Battle Mania Philippines is now in Iloilo. For the first time, the phenomenon of Hip-hop culture that originated in Southern Bronx of New York City in the USA since 1970s is here in the city of love. The event will capture and emphasize the true meaning of Hip-hop culture by combining its cultural pillars—Beatboxing, Graffiti, DJing, Break Dancing and MCing. Battle Mania Iloilo is a brainchild of Bacolod-based event organizer, Patrick Bucabal and Paramour Sifee Production, Critical Breakdown Organization in cooperation with Jaro Agro-Industrial and Charity Fair and Association of Brgy. Captains-Jaro Chapter on January 21, 2010 at Jaro Covered Gym from 6 p.m. onwards. This one-of-a-kind event recognized internationally is a gathering of some of the best in hip-hop culture enthusiasts uniting, bonding and connecting their talents and passion. Battle Mania Iloilo is one of the highlights of 2011 Iloilo Dinagyang Festival and a kick-off event for the annual Jaro Agro-Industrial and Charity Fair.

The event includes B-boying (break dancing) competition participated in by dancers from different provinces and international representatives. The winner in B-boying competition will represent Iloilo in the national level. Iloilo City b-boy dancers will also have a showdown with Bacolod City representatives. Another exciting competition is the individual Freestyle Rap Battle that would gather the finest hip-hop rappers in Iloilo City who will compete for the championship title. The winner will represent Iloilo City for the Freestyle Rap Battle in Manila.

Ilonggo rap groups such as SYK Unit, Paramour Sifee, Southsyd Souljaz, All Out Kingz together with Ilonggo pop singers Sheila Barrios and Reyn Callao will entertain the crowd for a non-stop musical performances. Finally, Iloilo’s top show band Kreonz will provide live dance music for the crowd. The event will also have an audio-visual presentations, food festival, product samplings and giveaways from sponsors. As the heart of the event, proceeds of Battle Mania Iloilo is for the benefit of Sagrado Alternative Evening School and Jaro Agro-Industrial and Charity Fair. Reyn prepares for All Out Ilonggos this Dinagyang 2011

With the recent renaissance of Ilonggo music in 2010, the pride for Ilonggo pop culture is continuing in 2011 and beyond. In time for the most-awaited cultural celebration in the Philippines—the Dinagyang Festival--- rising Ilonggo music artists are set to entertain in the evening of January 22 at Iloilo Capitol Grounds with “All Out Ilonggos.” The non-stop musical event feature the independent album launching of the most promising Ilonggo rap group, All Out Kingz composed of Kudafie, Stan, Chaiz and female vocalist Mz. JT. All four members are involved in the Youth For Christ organization that inspired them to compose their first smash hit single “Changes” played both in Iloilo and Bacolod FM stations. Their second single “Anu Bala?” soon to have a music video is another potential Ilonggo rap song. Their 12-track album entitled “Ilonggo Para Sa Ilongga” is a fresh, dynamic and emotional journey of four young people searching for the true meaning of life, love and passion for culture.

Another Ilonggo pride is the Ilonggo 3nity composed of R&B sensation Reyn Callao, pop songstress Sheila Barrios and Cherry Callao. Reyn and Sheila are both nominated for Best Male and Female Artists at the first Ilonggo Music Awards 2010 of ABS-CBN Iloilo. Their first group single “Badtrip” together with their solo singles “Sa Handum Na Guid Lang,” “Bahala Ka Na,” and “Ikaw Guid Lang” were discovered in a social networking site by an Ilonggo part time DJ in Rockhampton City, Queensland, Australia and played in Radio For U 98.5 FM every Sunday afternoon since last year. Their songs were the first-ever Ilonggo songs played in an Australian radio station.

Unifying their talents, dream and passion to entertain, both groups will perform their music and will give away free CD sample of their songs during the show. Guest Ilonggo music artists of the event include SYK Unit, Paramour Sifee, Zpinx Angel of Mix Ilonggo Crew and the newest Ilongga diva—Irish D. Reyn Serenades Maasin Fiesta Queen

Ilonggo R&B sensation, Reyn Callao was invited to serenade the Fiesta Queen of the town of Maasin, Iloilo last December 30, 2010. He performed selected English and OPM songs such as “Be My Lady,” “Huwag Kang Mawawala” and a lot more. The event was hosted by Jimmy Garcia who was the one who invited Reyn to perform for the event. The people warmly welcomed Reyn and recognized his presence as one of the rising local Ilonggo recording artists these days. Reyn promoted his Ilonggo songs and upcoming album this year at the event.




Reyn’s 1st 2011 Show: A Day To Remember Pop Singing Contest

On the first day of 2011 (January 1), Ilonggo R&B singer, Reyn Callao performed for the production of A Day To Remember Pop Singing Contest. The show started at 7PM and was held at Bo. Obrero Gym in Iloilo City. Reyn performed his new dance track for his upcoming solo album “Sang Nakilala Ka.” In the middle of the show, Sheila performed a mash-up of her two Ilonggo hit songs “Ginpalangga” and “Sa Handum Na Guid Lang” while Reyn sang his solo singles “Seryoso” and “Bahala Ka Na.”

The event was organized by Ilang-Ilang Youth Organization (IYO) and Bobby Diestro with part of the proceeds of the show will benefit the various socio-civic projects of the organization. The competition featured 8 contestants who undergone screening and audition before the grand finals. Three winners were later declared as winners. Ilonggo Music Awards winner for Best Male Artist, R-nic was one of the board of judges.
