things to pop

Reyn’s 3 stuff
Reyn is getting ready for his surprises this May 2010. Actually, there are three stuff that would really create a difference on his direction as a local singer and performer. First, he is anticipating the release of the final music video of “Seryoso,” his first single in his official youtube channel. The music video will have a little taste of mini-film shot in Savannah, the biggest themed community of Camella in Iloilo. rslphoenix personally chose his co-cast in the video and Reyn showed his best moves in dancing and performing (of course, he lip-synched). The same song which was earlier released in local FM station in Iloilo will be performed live at SM City on May 20. A lot of people are excited because this will be the first of its kind music video in Iloilo City featuring a local artist. The creative team headed by the young director, Noel de Leon enjoyed the shooting and he is excited to present it soon.
Second, Reyn will release his second single “Bahala Ka Na” inspired by American singer Neyo. But the song was given an Ilonggo flavor that would surely capture the hearts of radio listeners. True, it will also come with multiple music videos (plus extras). Creatively, the final music video will have a unique concept from the same creative team. Yes, we may be using simple gadgets but what is important is the artistry and fresh approach for local music. The lyrics was written by Reyn two years ago together with “Seryoso.”
Third, Reyn will also release his latest project—the themesong of iTravel Philippines magazine and cable show this May. The lyrics of the song was written by its editor-in-chief while Bronze P., a popular Ilonggo rapper and Reyn worked together to create the catchy beat. It is an original song written by Ilonggo artists hoping to promote Philippine tourism and culture. Reyn and Bronze P. will perform the song live on May 20 at SM City Iloilo Events Center, 2 pm. (with inclusion of fashion parade by Ilonggo models).
Exciting… Reyn is ready to prove his talent(s) for sure.

R mark the spot

Reyn spotted at Ilonggo.net

Reyn was spotted by a prolific blogger who blogs everything from culture, music, places, and a lot more. It started when Reyn tagged this blogger via facebook with one of his notes. For almost a month that Reyn released his single “Seryoso” in Iloilo’s local FM stations and his other media exposures including a full-page press releases in Panay News, The News Today, and The Daily Guardian sponsored by Camella Iloilo plus a live performance in Arangakada morning show of GMA TV-6, this young Ilonggo RnB singer achieved so much.

Though locally released, he is very optimistic and thankful that a lot of people appreciate his love for music and singing. He is also thankful for those who continue to visit his webpage, watch his music videos in youtube, and those who search his name in google.com or yahoo.com. rslphoenix music has a lot of good stuff prepared for Reyn this year and these are part of elevating Ilonggo-made music. Not to mention his supportive sponsors, Reyn enjoyed endorsing them one by one here in his webpage. The debut of Reyn’s final music video for “Seryoso” will happen in his very own youtube channel this month. So better watch out for it.

Anyway, here’s the statement that www.Ilonggo.net wrote about Reyn Callao:

"I was intrigued when I got tagged in Facebook this morning about an ilonggo RnB singer. Personally, I would have preferred his music with original beats and musical arrangement. Nonetheless, I wish him great success in his musical career.'"

screen shots

Reyn shoot his first music video “Seryoso” (the final one!)

Reyn brought his dance moves and charm in full force last April 18, 2010 at Savannah for the shooting of his final mini-film music video for “Seryoso,” his first single. The music video is the finale for his first single launching which was directed by uprising Ilonggo digital filmmaker, photographer, and poet Noel de Leon. The music video features some of the best sceneries inside Savannah, the biggest and grandest southern American themed community of Camella in Iloilo. The creative team met as early as 10am in The Atrium and headed to Savannah for an early lunch and brainstorming. Reyn’s cousin, Sheila, also an upcoming Ilonggo singer was there to support along with Cindy, the music video’s featured leading lady. Cindy will be the center of affection for Reyn in the music video.
The final shooting took place at exactly 1pm at Savannah Glen Clubhouse and nearby Camella model houses. The creative team took advantage of the serene and picturesque views of the community, the impressive ambiance, and the inspiring place to use it all as creative elements of the music video. if this music video will be done and perfected, this might be the first and only independent art piece of its kind to be promoted locally. rslphoenix music is eager and passionate to share with everyone who would like to enjoy Ilonggo music. This time, it has a new face: RnB and pop.
It took almost five hours to complete the shooting of various scenes amid the scorching heat of the sun. Reyn remained energetic and determined to complete the sequence of his first music video. The leading lady, Cindy, was also enjoying the shoot and even made her presence felt in the set. Sheila provides support and inspiration for his cousin. Noel’s friend, Emman even lend some props for the shoot—including his cute converse shoes, hehe. His friends and fellow dance mates in B’Bronx Crew will also share a scene with him in a little dance number on a separate shooting day.
With a memorable day of fun and bonding on the set, what else can Reyn ask for? But hope for the best and look forward to premiere his first music video soon exclusively on his official youtube channel and webpage www.reycallao.blogspot.com. Who knows, it might even premiere first on local TV before anything else. Let’s wait and see.
But don’t stop requesting his song “Seryoso” on all local FM radio stations to bring it on top.

pop spa

Reyn’s Shana Lacs spampering

Reyn is pampered after a hectic day of shooting his mini-film music video of “Seryoso” last April 18, 2010. The spa center has become synonymous to ultimate “spampering,” trusted by spa lovers, foreign clients visiting Iloilo, and introduced innovation in the city’s spa business. After a tiring day of video shoot for his music video at Savannah, the biggest Camella community in the region, Reyn together with Sheila, his uprising Ilongga singer cousin soon-to-release her debut single “Pinalangga” were treated for an ultimate spa experience. Reyn preferred the soothing “Hilot Ilonggo” at the VIP room while Sheila tried Swedish massage at the couple’s room with their friends. Reigning pop

Reyn’s reign in The Daily Guardian

Reyn reigns again. He is currently enjoying massive newspaper promotion by endorsing Camella’s Savannah, a 300-hectare southern American themed community strategically located at Pulo Maestra Vita in Oton, Iloilo. It boasts with various classy enclaves of beautifully-built homes, sports facilities, clubhouses, theme parks, community school, upcoming chapel, and commercial complex. Savannah offers everything that any homebuyers dream for a near-perfect community. It is a place where Ilonggo families fulfill their dream lifestyle. Now on its 10th year, Savannah continues to soar and mesmerize homebuyers.
This time, the article about Camella and Reyn’s photo shoot was published in the April 15, 2010 issue of The Daily Guardian through the column of its prolific society and lifestyle columnist with a touch of class—Zedrick Zenere’s Pagemaker. Zeneres is known for his unique write-ups for various social and entertainment events in Iloilo. He also writes about culture, tourism, and corporate features with a long list of loyal readers. The Daily Guardian is known for its sincerity in upholding responsible journalism in the region. Reyn’s photo shoot was artistically done by Jose de Luna, an international Filipino photographer who is currently the Photography Editor of itravel Philippines. Reyn enjoyed posing for a half-day photo shoot at Savannah’s Glen Clubhouse and nearby model houses. The pictorial was used for Reyn’s debut single launching entitled “Seryoso.” As a passionate Ilonggo singer, Reyn welcomes new opportunities that come along his way. He is happy to launch even just a local singing career in Iloilo and couldn’t ask for more.
Camella as one of his sponsors even gave him the chance to shoot his final mini-film music video for “Seryoso” in Savannah this Sunday, April 18, 2010. It will be directed by an artistic young Ilonggo director who found passion in making digital films and photography. The music video is a unique concept of rslphoenix music, a team of artistic Ilonggo artists who found passion in Ilonggo music.
Listen to Reyn’s song by requesting it in all local FM stations in Iloilo now. It’s called “Seryoso” and can be seen in youtube.com by typing “Reyn Callao.”

looking good

Reyn endorses Beauty Dynamics

Reyn is having a major makeover. Is he? With Beauty Dynamics, the Ilonggo’s favourite and massively popular facial care center for more than a year now is getting free facial treatments. This youngblood uprising Ilonggo singer is happy knowing he can have the chance to try and experience the unique pampering of Beauty Dynamics. More than music and performing live, Reyn is grateful for Beauty Dynamics for sponsoring the launching of his first single “Seryoso” now aired in almost all radio stations in Iloilo City.

Just a little look back on Beauty Dynamics, this popular facial care center promises to become a true example of Ilonggo ingenuity for their business savvy goals. They introduced to Ilonggos that they need to treat and pamper themselves once in a while after their hectic work and daily tasks. For Php 200, who would have thought the you can already have top-of-the-line facial service inclusive of 3 sessions and offer various beauty products that promote Ilonggo wellness like no other. For beauty conscious and wellness buffs, feel free to visit Beauty Dynamics located at Iznart Street, Iloilo City. Ring them for bookings and reservations at 509-8554. You may also check them at facebook.com.

For Reyn, being able to create music and look good is both important aspect of a mainstream local artist. With Reyn’s passion for music and Beauty Dynamic’s goal to beautify Ilonggos, it is a perfect combination of sending a beautiful message of wellness. Who says looking good is all about skin deep? Beauty is also defined in the eyes of the beholder (hehe).

So after a hectic day, Reyn brought his cousin Shela, also an upcoming local Ilonggo singer who will release her first single entitled “Pinalangga” in the coming weeks for a rejuvenating facial session at Beauty Dynamics. The facial center’s affable and of course, good-looking manager, Ronilo Golipatan had a brief chat with Reyn. Sir Ron personally recommends their facial care products for Reyn. The friendly manager used their products and he knows it is really effective. Reyn gladly listened and found out the importance of taking care of our face. So before the chat ended, Reyn received a gift bag from Beauty Dynamics full of their best and effective beauty care products.

So, does that mean Reyn is already a Beauty Dynamics endorser? You guessed it right.

Postscript: after this encounter, Reyn is preparing for his “Seryoso” music video shoot this Sunday with a mysterious girl. Hmmm, exciting!

serious concept

“Seryoso” music video teaser concept by Reyn

Reyn is pushed to the boundaries, to his limit, and to find his own identity with his song “Seryoso,” now enjoying favourable airplay in Iloilo’s top FM stations. I think rslphoenix music, his artist management is “Seryoso” in putting Reyn in the spotlight with his passion for music. Reyn prefers to be humble and always think about putting his feet on the ground. Sure, his music is taking flight and people started to recognized him but this average-looking guy with burning passion for music is really “Seryoso” in sharing his talents. He wants to gain more friends. After all, Reyn is friendly by nature and he is not holding back in sharing his talents for those who wanted to know him more. Email him anytime if you want to ask something from him, he will try to answer it all for you.

Anyway, Reyn will shoot his final music video for “Seryoso” this weekend at Savannah, Camella’s biggest themed community in Iloilo. Though not all ideas in the music video concept came from him, Reyn makes sure “tanan nga gusto ya sa concept bisan paano masunod guid.” And it will happen for sure. Reyn willingly shares some of this ideas and plans for the music video concept...

Why did you choose to make several music videos for “Seryoso” before making the final one? (ngaa ginpili mo maghimo sang madamo nga music video ka “Seryoso” bago sang finakafinal?)

Reyn: When the song was made two years ago, I never dream of making a music video for it because I haven’t recorded it then. But when rslphoenix decided to make this my first single, they proposed to make a music video for it and they even suggested to make more extra ones that would hype its promotion. I realize it’s a good idea and people will have different views to the song with these extra videos.

So, can you tell us some of your good ideas for the final music video of “Seryoso”? (Puwede mo bala kami sugiran sang mga maayo mo nga ideya sa pinakafinal nga video sang “Seryoso”?)

Reyn: It will open with a conversation scene with a girl over the phone. I am trying to talk to her and then suddenly things will fade out. I will find myself singing while walking and going to a very special place in Savannah. There will also be flashback scenes with the girl I fell in love in the video. She’s actually pretty because she was personally chosen my rslphoenix to become my partner in the video. In the end, there will be a big twist after my singing will end. Just find out if it’s a happy or a heartbroken ending.

What other things that you will do in the music video?

Reyn: For sure, I will have a little dance scene since this is originally a Chris Brown-inspired song. It is no secret that he is a good dancer and I am also a part of a dance group (B’Bronx) from Bo. Obrero in Iloilo City for a few years now. Indi man sekreto nga maayo sya nga dancer kag ako miyembro man sang isa ka grupo sang dancers halin sa Bo. Obrero, Iloilo City)

When and where we can watch the final music video of “Seryoso”? (San-o kag diin namon malantaw ang final nga music video sang “Seryoso”)

Reyn: Before the end of April, this will be seen first here in my webpage, my facebook account, and Friendster via youtube.com. We will give time for editing to make it good before uploading it. Although we won’t use expensive video camera or other equipments but we promise that it is something artistic and creative.

Postscript: teaser photos and behind-the-scene video clips will be seen soon here in Reyn’s webpage. He would like to thank his sponsors in advance for their support including Camella Iloilo, SM City Iloilo, Fashion Mafia, Beauty Dynamics, Shana Lacs , Joe de Luna, and Jet Salcedo for the make-over in the set.
