Reyn Callao’s Camella photo shoot featured in The News Today

There’s no stopping now for rising Ilonggo singer Reyn Callao in making waves in Iloilo. The same article and photo shoot taken by international Photographer Jose de Luna, itravel Philippines magazine’s Photography Editor was featured on the March 29, 2010 issue of The News Today lifestyle section in full colour. The article came out in Panay News earlier in full page.

Reyn’s first single “Seryoso” is gaining favourable request and airplay among local FM stations everywhere. The song’s upbeat and sincere Ilonggo lyrics seemed to be catching the ear of radio listeners. Promoted and launched by rslphoenix music, a team of Ilonggo artists barely two weeks ago as its first local music talent, Reyn is slowly making a name for himself with his smooth voice. His teaser music video on youtube.com is just a start of a bigger promotion for his 3-part music videos for “Seryoso” which include a “fan video” and a “mini short film MTV.” Catch the premier of his music videos this month and find out where the video shoot will take place, who will be his leading lady in the MTV... everything is getting better. Reyn’s special project for itravel Philippines

Reyn Callao is working for a special project for itravel Philippines magazine, the only publication that mainly focus on travel and tourism with nationwide target circulation. itravel Philippines is mainly based in Cebu City and maintains an editorial office in Iloilo City. With the recent success and positive feedback on the magazine that started last 2009, itravel Philippines on its first year anniversary this May 2010 will strengthen their marketing reach and fortify its goal to promote the expanding tourism industry. itravel Philippines maintains a tie-up with ABN Dreamworks Philippines, owner of the biggest and first electronic billboard in Cebu City and maintains a dynamic website: www.itravelphilippines.com.ph. This May, itravel Philippines will introduce a weekly TV show that will be broadcast in Skycable channel 13 and 17.

Reyn as an uprising Ilonggo singer was chosen by the magazine staff to compose, sing, and perform the theme song of the itravel Philippines. Together with another Ilonggo rap artist/singer Bronze P, they will entertain the audience and guests during the launching of the TV show sometime in May to be held in the city's biggest mall. This will mark Reyn’s first major live and mall performance with Bronze P. in front of tourism industry’s bigwigs and hopefully local Ilonggo fans. He will have a solo rendition of his first single “Seryoso” and launching of his second single “Bahala Ka Na.”

Reyn is doing his best to share his music and hopefully Ilonggos will enjoy listening to his songs on air. Campus Radio supports Reyn’s first single

Reyn Callao’s debut single “Seryoso” is now played on air at Campus Radio, Iloilo’s most-loved FM station popular for their entertaining programs and DJs. Upon submission of Reyn’s CD sample, the Station Manager of Campus Radio expressed his appreciation for his passion to promote Ilonggo-made music. In fact, they are willing to help bring back the interest of their listeners to Ilonggo music that has long been forgotten if not, given less attention.

It is timely since Reyn’s musical style is a bit more urban pop with RnB flavour that would hopefully capture the interest of Ilonggo youth. RnB has been considered as the affinity of the present generation in music just like in the US and other European countries. In Iloilo, it is something new for an Ilonggo to sing in the tune of RnB. Reyn is truly grateful for Campus Radio for playing his song on air. Camella promotes Reyn Callao in Panay News

There are many ways to spend summer season. When Reyn Callao’s debut single came out, it was timely when Camella Iloilo’s bigwigs find it positive to have his first photo shoot at Savannah especially in Glen Clubhouse as its main attraction in the photo shoot. Reyn gamely posed for the artistic lens of international photographer Jose de Luna and present photography editor of itravel Philippines magazine. His photos will be used as various covers for his single CD, website gallery, and portfolio. Jose de Luna captured the different sides and personality of Reyn during the photo shoot.

A few weeks later, Camella Iloilo’s PR department has decided to ask Panay News, the region’s leading tabloid to publish a full page feature story about Camella as a perfect summer destination through the pop photography of Reyn Callao. On its March 27, 2010 issue, Panay News published the article that created an impression that indeed, premier urban living can be highlighted through a creative pop photography artistically captured by Jose de Luna’s lens.

Love Radio plays Reyn’s new single

The upbeat and RnB inspired debut single “Seryoso” of Reyn Callao, a new Ilonggo singer started to gain airwaves play at Love Radio, one of Iloilo City’s popular FM radio stations. Though the single was honestly inspired by the tune of Chris Brown’s popular song, Reyn, a natural born singer and songwriter crafted the Ilonggo song almost two years ago. He sang this song in various community events and gatherings without realizing he could record it someday. And this year, his dream came true when rslphoenix, a team of Ilonggo music artists that aims to promote local musicians and talents took notice of his potential. Immediately, he recorded it and gave life to his passion.
He’s hoping that Ilonggo music listeners will once more appreciate locally-recorded songs and support Ilonggo talents. MOR 91.1 is one of the best FM radio stations in Iloilo City soothing the hearts of Ilonggos with their unique music programs and entertaining DJs. Just talk about good music where you can have fun and MOR 91.1 is synonymous to such popularity.

Reyn Callao as an upcoming local Ilonggo artist who happens to have interest for good music can now hear his debut single “Seryoso” at MOR 91.1.Especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, 12-1:30pm, MOR created a special program for Ilonggo artists and singers where they can hear their songs played on air.
